Common Land

Those people who regularly use the Common Land at the junction of Meadowfield and Painshawfield Roads may have noticed some work has been done to improve this amenity.

Members of the Estate Committee have removed a number of seedlings which have grown over the years into sizeable trees, paths have been mown around the area and also into the centre of the common to facilitate walking and material from these has been placed in the corner a to encourage wildlife. One of the large trees which was not in good order has also been removed by a tree surgeon.

The Committee would propose that benches are placed beside the path at suitable points and would like to extend an invitation to anyone who would like to have a memorial bench placed on the Common Land to approach the secretary with their proposal.
