Painshawfield Biodiversity Group Open Day

The Painshawfield Biodiversity Group is delighted to invite residents, visitors and friends to our Open Day on the Common, where we’ll be showcasing the progress made by our volunteers over many months to enhance this much-loved space for people and wildlife.
Come along and see our work, which includes the planting of native trees and wildflowers around the edges of the Common, as well as a brand-new bench created from the wood of the Painshawfield Foxtail Pine, which sadly died in 2023.
At 2.30pm, we will officially unveil an Information Board commemorating the Foxtail Pine and telling the story of its history and significance to the area.
